Football Players MUST be at the game field 1.5 hours early for weigh in at both home and away games! 

Cheerleaders MUST be at the field for check in 1 hour before both home and away games.

Volunteer Info Print

It takes 86 hours of volunteer time to cover 1 home game. Something to think about - If everyone just signed up to work one shift during a home game, we would have everything covered the whole day! There are ONLY 4 home games per year. Away games- PJH volunteers are needed for PAR and CHAINS.

It is a REQUIREMENT of all participants of Placer Jr Hillmen Youth Football and Cheer to volunteer 10 hours per family per season. Placer Jr Hillmen is ran strictly by volunteers and a volunteer board of directors. Please do your part to help provide a smooth, efficient, fun, and valuable experience for all the children in our program... It's all about the kids and they benefit from everything the adults put into it. We truly appreciate your help and assistance.

 

LIST OF VOLUNTEER DUTIES:

 

ANNOUNCER - 2 hour time block
Home games only. Responsible for impartially announcing plays, welcoming home and opposing team, announcing the score, etc... One or two needed per game.

PROMO TABLE - 2 hour time block
Home games only. Responsible for selling Placer Jr. Hillmen merchandise items at the promo table.

CHAIN GANG - 2 hour time block
Away games only. Responsible for helping move the markers down the field for each play. Three people needed per game.

GATE - 2 hour time block
Home games only. We have two gates - the upper gate and lower gate. Responsible for collecting entrance fees and monitoring for outside food, drinks, and pets. Two people needed per game.

PAR - 2 hour time block BUT earn 4 hours toward your volunteer time!!
Home and away games. Responsible for verifying all players play at least the minimum number of plays per game as specified by SYFC guidelines. Two people needed per game. IF WE DO NOT HAVE PAR VOLUNTEERS FOR ALL OF OUR GAMES, AWAY AND HOME, THEN WE FORFEIT THE GAME.

RAFFLE- 1 hour time block
Home games only. Responsible for selling raffle tickets throughout the stands on the home and visitors side during the game. One needed per game.

SET-UP / TAKE DOWN CREW - 2 hour time block
Home games only. You'll need to show up to the field at 7:00 a.m. on game day for set-up and plan to stay 2 hours after last game for take-down. Set-up crew: Sets up snack bar, field, promo table, hang banners, get water ready, etc... Take-down crew: Removes items from field, assists with snack bar breakdown and clean up of stadium.

SNACK BAR - 2 hour time block
Home games only. Responsible for working in the snack bar during games. You are not expected to work during your child's game. There are NO children allowed in the snack bar area while parent/guardian is working.
